The Virginia Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom's
Online Course was developed in cooperation with the
Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Services.
This online training course provides
elementary and middle school educators with the opportunity to enhance their
understanding of Cellular Biology, DNA, Energy and Agriculture.
The Virginia Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) program is a comprehensive
educational program designed to foster an understanding of agriculture.
Virginia AITC's educational material was developed by educators and is correlated to Virginia’s Standards of Learning (SOLs). This program and material are intended to be integrated into existing classroom curricula.
Services offered by the Foundation include teacher in-service training, the School Garden Project and a biannual newsletter.
