After farmers work hard and grow all of our food, someone has to take it from the farm to the factory to the grocery store.  Truck drivers have very important jobs.  It is up to them to make sure we can buy the foods we like in the grocery store.

Truck drivers drive special trucks.  Some trucks are refrigerated and are very cold.  They move things that need to stay cold for a long time, like cheese, milk, meat, or ice cream.

Some truck drivers will move animals from one place to another. These trucks have windows in the back for the animals to get fresh air.  Horses and chickens are moved in big trucks with windows.

Some trucks will move fruit or vegetables from one side of the country to another!  Truck drivers will drive Florida oranges all over the United States.

Truck drivers have to be really safe drivers.  The trucks they drive come in all shapes and sizes, but they are always big.  The truck drivers need to know how to drive all kinds of trucks and how to get to different places in the country.
