Introduction
Have you ever wondered why droplets form on the outside of your
cold glass of water? Have you
wondered why there are clouds in the sky or why it rains? Take a look at the earth’s water cycle
and find out!
SSSSS
Task
Your task is to create a three-dimensional cloud that both depicts

SPart 2 – Cycle Overview
There are several important parts to the water cycle. Watch this video to learn about how they work together to make
one complete cycle.

SPart 3 – Deeper Look
Look at each main part of the water cycle. Click on all the 7 different parts. Record the definitions on your
research log sheet.

SPart 4 – Mystery
Get out those magnifying glasses!
Now that you know all about the water cycle, you are ready to become a
Water Detective. Your teacher will
have a copy of the mystery for you and your classmates to solve.
SPart 5 – Conservation
Did you know that
only 1% of the earth’s water is drinkable?
Take this virtual home tour and find all of the
ways you can save water.
Click on Kids corner and when the house pops up, click on the house

the same as theirs? Which ones are
different? Turn this into your
teacher when you are done.
Can you think of any more ideas to add to the list?
SPart 6 – Cloud Construction
This is your chance to show everything you have learned
about the water cycle! You are going
to make a three-dimensional cloud.
It will have a drawing of the water cycle and all of your definitions on the
other side. You can use your research log and
conservation tips list to help you.
This is what yours
might look like!

Conclusion
Water has many different stages it can go through, changing it from
a solid, to a liquid, to a gas.
These stages mean water has been going around and around in the water cycle for
a long time - the earth is full of water that has been around for thousands of
years. It is important to share our
knowledge of the water cycle as well as try our best to conserve water so it can
still be on earth for thousands more years.
